Welcome

Thanks to a completely new powertrain, the lowest loading floor and an increased level of comfort, ATK has confirmed its position as the reference in the world of ‘tailored’ vehicles.

Specially designed for optimum ease of use, ATK in cooperation with Renault Trucks offers you an unprecedented number of options to simplify your life.

Discover all of the advantages of the new generation ATK quickly and you will understand why ATK is the leader in the world of vehicles with a lowered chassis.

Each ATK is fully developed in consultation with the customer and bodywork builder and is available with one or two rear axles. This means that 3 weight variants of 11.99, 14 and 16 tonnes are available for vehicles with a double rear axle and 1 weight variant of 10 tonnes for trucks with a single rear axle.

The choice of different wheelbases (from 4,200 to 6,500 mm) ensures a very broad range of superstructure options. The most divergent demands can be catered for thanks to the modular design. The short Midlum cab is mainly used in order to make the available surface as big as possible.

The range of engines is made up of the Renault Trucks DTi engines. European certification means that the vehicles can be marketed throughout the European Union. The full conversion is performed with original Renault Trucks components, so that smooth service from the Renault Trucks dealer network can be guaranteed everywhere in Europe.

Supported by its three fundamental values of innovation, effectiveness and a close bond, ATK commits itself to a long-term customer relationship which is synonymous with reliability and sustainable solutions.

ATK, the partner that makes life easy for you

History

Garage Carrosserie Antoine NV in Geraardsbergen has already operated as the European-approved truck manufacturer ATK for many years. At the start of the 1990s Antoine Van Wonterghem responded to the demand for trucks with a low loading platform. This development is still continuing.

A dropcase was initially developed for the Renault Midliner, and now for the Renault Trucks D2.1, to create a frontwheel drive truck. This adaptation makes it possible to install a much lowered chassis at the rear. The loading floor is completely flat due to the use of cylinder profiles for the chassis and a step-in height of up to less than 30cm is achieved.

The concept has been able to count on international interest thanks to its excellent reputation. The lowered undercarriage is primarily used in niche sectors such as market, podium and promotional vehicles where a low loading floor is needed. The ATK design office works closely with the management of Renault Trucks on the development of these trucks. The vehicles are equipped with the most progressive technologies and satisfy the strictest standards in terms of safety and operating security. The factory in Blainville supplies trucks which are completely adapted to ATK’s requirements. The lowered chassis and adapted transmission are mounted in Geraardsbergen. The concept is internationally protected by a patent.
